Search and rescue (SAR) dogs are important during rescue operations. Dedicated trainers and handlers train these SAR dogs to detect human scent. Hence, during earthquakes and floods, collapsed building scenario, mass-casualty incidents, and locating missing people, SAR dogs are valuable.
