RESOLUTION NO. 50

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GUIDELINES ON THE CONDUCT OF CONTACT AND NON-CONTACT SPORTS ACTIVITIES IN DAVAO CITY

Salient points:
WHEREAS, the Response Cluster proposed additional guidelines in regulating the conduct of the following contact sports activities:

Basketball, Football, Volleyball, and Frisbee

1. Games are best played in open field areas and reputable basketball courts registered with the Business Bureau, including those in subdivisions.
2. Street games in the barangays are prohibited.
3. Barangay games can be played in the Barangay-owned or managed barangay covered courts only.
4. Games are strictly by appointment/reservations. NO walk-ins.
5. NO VACCINATION, NO PLAY POLICY. The management or barangay staff should only allow fully-vaccinated players by presenting their legitimate vaccination cards issued by the government, with one entrance and one separate exit.
6. DQR and temperature scanning by the management upon entrance and exit before and after games must be enforced.
7. Maintain safe distancing inside the court during games.
8. Wearing of masks are required when not playing, while voluntary upon playing.
9. Players should provide their own hydration in individual bottles; strictly no sharing policy.
10. Use of shower rooms is strictly one at a time.
11. Basketball leagues and other contact sport tournaments are prohibited. Strictly for exercise purposes only.
12. After the game, players should vacate the premises for the disinfection of the used areas/courts.
13. Air-conditioned courts should open windows for proper ventilation.
14. Disinfecting foot baths should be placed before the entrance in an enclosed area with hand washing station.
15. A recommendation of a 70% maximum venue capacity for spectators within the game activity.
16. A presence of security enforcement group initiated by the barangay shall be needed during the conduct of such sports activity.
17. After every game, no one will be allowed to loiter in the activity area without prior approval from the authority.
18.Those barangays that belong to the “High Risk Area” shall be prohibited from the conduct of sports activities until such time that their barangay will be placed to “Low Risk classification.
